Cortijo La Pedriza is situated by the white washed hill town of Iznájar which nestles in the middle of the lake. An impressive 8th Century Moorish castle with a huge baroque church top off the town. Lose yourself in Iznájar's historic cobbled streets and follow narrow alleyways to find yourself on one of the many broad plazas with spectacular views of the lake and the Sierras Subbética.

Nearby are the impressive historic towns of Antequera, Archidona and Priego De Córdoba.

Cortijo La Pedriza's location makes it ideal for day trips to Granada, home of the Alhambra, and Córdoba, which boasts the amazing Mezquita (both one hour's drive) and Seville (2 hours) For a day trip to the coast, the beach of Pedregalejo near Málaga has good swimming and a large selection of fish restaurants (one hour). Málaga is the birthplace of Picasso, the new Museo Piccaso displays a large collection of his work in a beautiful setting.
